Mercedes-Benz E350 Cabriolet – On Top Of The Convertible Class

in Mercedes,Mercedes-Benz

For many years now, mercedes-benz continues practicing its expertise in this section and inevitably has become one of the best, or even at the top of convertible auto-making.

Be it the big ol’ SL Class series or the CLK variation, each showcase a level of refinement other makes will envy, having its roof on or off. The E-Class cabriolet is both spectacular. Quiet, classy and costly, it caters to a person who wants stylish uniqueness. And apparently, owners of the drop-top E-Class models choose to show off its convertible capabilities.

Rather than choosing a collapsible hard-top, Mercedes-benz resolved to go with a fabric roofing and to own this convertible; you have to spend an additional $12,450 more as compared to the coupe. And much like the coupe, it shares much of its aspect with the C-Class rather than the E-Class.

The C-Class is definitely an amazing series and so the E-Class cabriolet borrowing its DNA with the C-Class is definitely not a bad factor. Their costs are wide which range from $100,000 in the four cylinder petrol into a whopping $186,950 for a V8. The E350 is in the mid-range with a price tag of $140,000 more or less.

The E350 cabriolet comes with a extraordinary cabin ambience even with the fabric roofing and although the street sound isn’t suppressed as that of the coupe or sedan, it’s actually not far off either. It is because of the high-quality insulation of its soft top that’s very impressive, specially when it’s overtaking vehicles in the road or within tunnels. Using this model, Mercedes-Benz used a “four season-four passenger” approach along with two key components of technology for convenience improvement.

An all-new Aircap system is introduced and with the Airscarf concept, helps to keep the passengers heated no matter if motoring through the winter. The Aircap produces a simulated roof which has a directed movement of air above the passenger cockpit from the top of the windscreen at the same time that the Airscarf gives off warm air from air outlets that are installed on top of the seats.

After hitting a control button, a small 6cm wing will go up from the top of the windscreen forcing external air up and over occupant compartment. Space inside is great, particularly in the front as large passengers will immediately occupy legroom space at the rear. Adults can easily get in the rear though which beats a lot of the competition. However, anybody taller than 180 cm will find it hard to get comfortable.
